Viton is a dense synthetic rubber and fluoropolymer elastomer with high resistance to solvents and acids and a wide temperature tolerance (-20ºC to +210ºC). Viton is also known as FKM and FPM, and can be green or brown colour.

Viton resists corrosion from a greater variety of fluids and chemicals than any non-fluorinated elastomer, and is fully compatible with oils, fuels, lubricants and most mineral acids, aromatic hydrocarbons and more.

Viton is expensive to produce and typically costs around 8 times more than EPDM for the same amount of material.
