With a wide range of valve body and disc materials available, the plastic pneumatic butterfly valve covers a huge range of applications in most industries, although the most common application is with a wide variety of water applications from swimming pools, through water treatment, to drinking water.
For water applications an air actuated butterfly valve fitted with the AVP pneumatic actuator offers a commercially competitive solution with sizes from 2" to 12". Generally plastic pneumatic butterfly valves are wafer pattern although lugged and tapped versions can be supplied on request. The Cepex Extreme butterfly has a fully lugged body but uses through bolts as standard, making it a wafer butterfly valve, unless the threaded inserts are fitted.
